Coachella Dreaming

Wearing - Playsuit and Socks - Forever 21. Jacket and Bag - New Look. Shoes - Schuh.
This weekend has just been ideal. I celebrated Easter surrounded by lots of laughs with my family. We giggled over the silliest things - A 'spoon spoon,' an Easter egg hunt and tricks on the trampoline - it was lovely to have some time away from everything. To not have to worry about revision or dancing. However the past few weeks caught up with me and I felt extremely sleepy on Saturday evening. But I perked up for Sunday and enjoyed a great day with lots of chocolate. It was also made better by a Direct Message and Retweet from Alfie Deyes a.k.a Pointless Blog from Youtube, part of the cutest couple 'Zalfie,' and a beautiful human being! My inner fangirl seriously came out.
But in the back of my mind I dreamed about Coachella. To be surrounded by every celebrity, the awesome fashion and some pretty cool music. So, here is my 'coachella inspired' outfit. I chose to go with my floral Forever 21 playsuit as I figured you can never wrong with florals at a festival. Then my trusty dm's. I decided to attempt some festival hair-do so curled my hair and french-plaited the front. I don't think parading around in the cold among these flowers came anywhere near with Coachella but alas, it craved my hunger to attempt festival fashion!
What did you do this Easter? Have you been/ want to go to Coachella?

I would be absolutely thrilled if you could perhaps nominate me for the Best Teen Style Blog for the Company Style Blogger Awards , I don't expect at all to be on the shortlist or anything but I figure I might as well try! I'm going to be nominating some of my favourite blogs as well so get thinking and nominate here.

Patterns in Palaces

Now, I would love to tell you what specific buildings these beautiful patterns are from but I'm really not sure! One thing I noticed about St. Petersburg (please can I just go back?) is how many palaces there are. Whichever street we turned down the guide would tell us of a palace that someone had given to someone as a present or something. I think most of these are actually from inside the Winter Palace but don't hold me to that!
As we walked through a couple dozen extravagant rooms I just couldn't believe it. Every room was so extravagant, it was breathtaking. Each room had carefully engraved pictures and paintings on each wall and each pillar. The ceilings are what stood out to me, I would look up and be amazed at the intricate details that were up there (also, how did they paint on the ceilings?!) It was just really interesting if you looked closely at the amount of detail that was put in, although some rooms looked a bit over the top the overall effect was beautiful and breathtaking even so much so that I felt they needed a photo-heavy blog post!
I really really wish I was back there instead stuck indoors revising, is it weird that I'm nostalgic for just over a week ago?

I would be absolutely thrilled if you could perhaps nominate me for the Best Teen Fashion Blog for the Company Style Blogger Awards , I don't expect at all to be on the shortlist or anything but I figure I might as well try! So go ahead and nominate here.

Spring Vibes

Wearing: Top - Urban Outfitters. Skirt - Boohoo. Jacket and Shoes - New Look. Necklace - Market in Russia

These photo's are a prime example of the lengths I go through for this blog...
So yesterday evening I actually ventured out the house - something I haven't done in a while as revision is slowly swallowing me up whole - to go see Divergent with Bryony and Ella. Oh my days, that film. I have been waiting for it for ages and it fully lived up to my expectations, I came out of it just in a daze. It. Was. So. Good. And now I want to go and reread all the books!
But back to the story, I decided to wear my new skirt from Boohoo with my Urban Outfitters blouse and thought I might as well look for a different outfit location so drove five minutes until I found this wooden fence that looked perfect. After realising there were stinging nettles in front of it I traipsed through two other gates to get into the field for the wooden one. However I was in such a hurry I didn't look where I was going and ran straight into about 5 inches of mud! Well, at least I hope it was mud...So these photo's were taken with extremely muddy boots and in a rush as I had to go home before going to the cinema and I was already running late.
So that is my recent clumsy saga. I'm currently having a product lunch break from revision, sat here blogging, purchasing some new albums, eating lunch at staring out at the sun. Although I'm revising the sun makes it feel like life is pretty darn great at the moment!

My Trip to Russia

I

First of all let me apologise for the extremely photo-heavy post. With six days in Russia it just had to be done. Second, let me apologise from the absence from the blog - I got back from Russia Wednesday night, recovered Thursday and had a dance competition Friday!
So now I am here, with a major post talking about my fab trip to Russia. I had such a good time!  I had so many laughs with some great friends, got to know some people better and actually learned a fair amount more of Russian history. We spent 3 days in Moscow then travelled on an overnight train which was...an interesting experience, then spent 3 days in St Petersburg before travelling home.
These photo's are just an abundance of different photo's, showing some of the churches and palace's we went to, they were all so impressive on the outside and inside. Filled with beautiful patterns and colours. We were so lucky with the weather; although it was snowing on the first day we got there it was actually okay. It was bitterly cold but we were prepared for that with many layers, when we got to St.Petersburg the sun was shining very brightly. We got told that they normally only have 40 days in the whole year that the sun shines and it was  for the three days we were there! It made the whole city liven up and the reflections on the rivers were beautiful.
I mostly stuck with my roommate Vicky and my two other friends Ella and Olivia. We had some extremely funny moments with dancing in the street, random laughing breakdown in restaurants and stressful moments with the language barrier. I also got to know some other people in my year better which was lovely, I always think there is something special when you get to know people better.
One thing I didn't learn was much Russian, it's so difficult to understand! I can vaguely remember 'Thank you' and 'Good Morning' but that's about it!
I had such an amazing trip that is fulled with memories, I am so grateful I could go!
Have you ever been to Russia?/ Want to go?

Instagram Lately #2

I am having a bit of a frantic morning but trying to stay calm so I thought I would do a quick blog post. I've got my ballet exam later this afternoon which I'm trying not to freak out about then I'm off to Russia tomorrow! I'm really excited but it feels slightly surreal, so be aware for photo-heavy posts when I return. These are just a few of my instagram photo's from the last couple of months. I love instagram to bits and have a feeling it is what I'm going to be updating the most the next couple of days so make sure to give me a cheeky follow over there!

Also another cheeky plug, the Company Style Blogger Awards nominations are open! I would be absolutely thrilled if you could perhaps nominate me for the best teen fashion blog, I don't expect at all to be on the shortlist or anything but I figure I might as well try! I'm going to be nominating some of my favourite blogs as well so get thinking and nominate here.
