Where have I been?

Where have I been?

The answer to this question, I don't even know. I have two theories about why I have been absent from my blog for so long:
  • I've been super busy. With school, homework, dancing and generally having a social life. I know that sounds like I'm putting having a life before my blog, it's because I am! I'm in the final stretches of school and I want to soak up every thought and feelings I have, whether it be 'I can't wait to get out of here' or 'Oh gosh, I actually am leaving this place, maybe I could just stay?' And it is hard to live life to the fullest when my blog almost seemed like a burden, like it has the past few weeks.
  • I'm stuck in a creative rut. I haven't bought any new clothes in, goodness knows how long, and you've seen most of my other clothes. So, even if I did have time to go and shoot outfit posts, I'm not sure I would have.

But, I like to blog. That's why I do it. So I'm not letting this hiatus stop me from continuing. So, I've had a three week long break? So what my content before that was boring and weird?
I can use it as motivation to blog to my heart is content.
The Easter holidays are coming up and after handing in my history coursework on Wednesday I am now focused on the exams I have coming up. However without coursework hanging over me I can now manage my time to get back in the blogging swing. I've got a few new ideas...
  •  Take you on the road to final fling (essentially my prom) through inspiration for dress, hair and make-up.
  • The journey of leaving school.
  • Of course, some outfit posts! - I've got so many new ideas for backgrounds that I kind of want to burst in excitement.
  • Maybe, take you along with a day at a dance competition - the make-up, the costume, backstage excitement etc
Please let me know if any of them sound interesting and if you've got any ideas/ requests for blog post ideas,  I'm always looking for more!

And just to say, even if I'm not always active on this blog, I spend every little second I can catch on various other social medias: Like my Twitter, Instagram and Tumblr - so make sure to follow me on there! I've also recently created a new snapchat 'Stylestorey' so add me on there for random everyday musings!

Random Rambling

Whenever I tell my friends that I'm in a 'good mood' then always reply the same thing - "your always in a good mood, Christina." And although sometimes it may seem it, I'm definitely not always in a good mood! But today, I couldn't stop smiling, and I'm not sure why, but I'm going to hold on to this feeling.

I woke up this morning to a cascade of pinks, blues and oranges stretching across the sky, I knew it was going to be a good day. My day began by talking in front of the whole of the boys school in assembly which is daunting, but I feel that over this year I have got used to public speaking and it is not so scary anymore - I made announcement about the launch of our new and last issue of my school magazine Ink is out (I wrote an article on 5 tips to get you to become the next big super blogger if ya fancy checking it out.) Then Vicky and I went to a small cafe shop in town to have a almond croissant and a cappuccino which was delicious and one of the perfect ways to spend a free - probably not the most productive though...

Life is Good at the moment. This week is so busy, but it's so thrilling. Quite often I complain about being busy, but this week I have been busy with things I like to do, which makes life so much more easy. So find the things you like to do - write, exercise, read blogs, dance, plan parties - if you fill your spare time up with positive productive things, your free time will seem productive. There is nothing worse than planning a productive afternoon and spending all that time sitting on your bum watching T.V. and feeling crap because you've been so unproductive. If you want to work in a free - work, if you want to go for a croissant and a coffee with a best friend - do. You cannot spend all your time working, everyone needs some downtime. Just don't make too much - balance, that's it - life needs balance.
Anyway, enough of my Thursday rambling, I need to go and write some history notes, Hope life is treating you lovelies well.

Catching a breath

A random collection of photo's that have little relevance to the post but I find so so pretty - Can be found on my tumblr.

I feel a bit of a block right now writing this post after what seems like so long, it's like the promise of a blank page - it's incredible because you can say what you want and, well, the world is your oyster, but on the other hand it's incredibly scary - I'm confused with how much I share with you on the internet, are you my friend? Your my friend, the people who read my blog are my friends because they read what I let them read, but are you my friend because you know my whole life? No, the internet is only a small proportion of one's life and I feel that because I have not posted in a couple of weeks, you don't know the new me. Not that I've changed drastically, I really haven't, but you haven't heard from me in a while, after a week skiing (or rather, failing to ski) of being surrounded by beautiful mountains, but also by some of my best friends, you don't know me who has been coughing her guts out the past week, croaking my words out, or who has a fear or missing out so much that I force myself to go to school and to dancing because I don't want to miss out, even if what I really needed was a day in bed to sleep and cough on my own, and probably wallow in my own self-pity from my cold - I sound so dramatic, my life really isn't that interesting!
But hat is essentially the new me - not that I've changed, but I've grown I suppose. The ski trip was full of many ups and downs, thankfully more ups than downs but it was a test of strength as well because the days skiing were extremely tiring but we went out and partied some evenings, making  the days longer, but so much better and full of so many memories.

This next week is one of the busiest but most exciting weeks I've had in a long time. It's the third and final issue of my school magazine Ink coming out - It's the first time Ink has had three issues in a year so it's so exciting to be leading it once again. I am performing in the school talent show on Thursday and Friday night which is terrifying, I'm used to dancing on a stage but not in front of school people, it will definitely be interesting! Then on Saturday I've got my big 18th party which I am sharing with Bryony, which will (cross fingers) be amazing - I'm still yet to find a dress but a hefty order from Misguided has been placed to hopefully they'll serve me well! Then on Sunday I've got a dance competition which I'm super excited for as I missed a fair amount because of my ski trip so it will be nice to perform and have a day with my dance friends.
Hopefully when I am able to catch a breath I'll be able to shoot some outfit shots or come up with new blog idea's, I'm still as motivated as ever!

Hope you all have a good week lovelies!

Now Reading // I've just finished reading the Delirium trilogy by Lauren Oliver - It's such a good premise of the book and I really enjoyed the first two but I was slightly disappointed with the conclusion on the third book!
