London Marathon

(Don't know why this guy has a top hat on?!)

 (Obligatory Train platform shot!)

I thought I would do a fairly quick photo blog about my day to London on Sunday. My cousin was racing for the Royal Blind Society, He did amazingly well. It was so lovely to meet up with family and all support him. Through these photo's you can see the various places in London we went but a lot were taken between quick dashes between the track to try and catch a glimpse of my cousin! I'm extremely excited as I have been invited to my first blogger event in June so am excited yet nervous to meet other bloggers! School and dancing is manic at the moment between revising for our GCSE's and our show term in dance this term so please forgive me if the posts aren't that regular!
I also had a great surprise when I woke up to be 'Pick of the Day' on bloggers.com!

Sunny days and Dungarees

Wearing: Beanie - Topshop. Top - New look. Dungarees - Missguided. Shoes - Schuh
There is sun! Although it's not really warm enough to wear shorts, put away all winter clothes and jump (literally!) for joy it's still a pretty great feeling when you wake up to the sun blasting through your window. These dungaree's are my new love, I jumped on the free delivery code from Missguided on Thursday and the next day they were awaiting me on the doorstep! They are incredibly comfortable and although I feel a bit like a farmer, I love them! I'm off to see my cousin run in the London Marathon tomorrow and hope to do a post on that later on in the week. I have got a youtube video of this Outfit to upload so keep an eye out on my youtube the next few days

Christian Siriano's Spring Campaign

Christian Siriano has released his  'A Midsummer Night's Dream Ballet' inspired spring campaign. It is a mixture of  beautiful chiffon and beaded dresses. The film by Brad Walsh is beautiful. the ballet dancers are professional, they look so elegant and graceful in this film. The film is a perfect balance of showing the dancers wonderful lines and poised grace whilst presenting the intricately made dresses. Personally I never really keep up with specific designers, of course around Fashion weeks I try to keep up with shows but other than that it's not often I see designers campaigns but I came across this through this Teen Vogue article and fell in love. I just think the whole campaign portrays the delicacy of the dancers and dresses extremely well.

Down the Dusty Track

Wearing: Top - New Look. Skirt - Missguided (Worn as skirt.) Shoes - Schuh
So for a break for revision, well rather procrastination, me and my mum decided to go and take these outfit photo's. So we set out, the sun was shining, I sat on the gate, my mum turned on the camera; 'Camera Exhausted.' We trudged back home, tried to learn some Latin vocab, drank coffee  whilst the camera was charging. When we went back for the second time there was a storm brewing. It was extremely windy as you can tell from the ruffles in this beautiful chiffon top and the crazy hair. I've been wondering for a while how to style this dress I got from Misguided and paring it with this delicate top seem perfect to match with the aztec pattern. So that's the exciting story of these photo's being taken!
I've added an 'About Me' Featured' and 'Blogroll' page on my left hand sidebar so check them out.
I go back to school tomorrow for the last four weeks in my senior school before moving to Sixth Form next year, I'm not too sure how much Stylestorey will be kept up during this busy revision and exam period but as always, I'll try my best!

Style Crush - Nina Nesbitt

All photo's off Tumblr and her Instagram
So after listening to her recent song 'Stay Out' on Radio 1 and reading about her in Company I looked up Nina Nesbitt and found out that she's actually really cool. Although that sounds really sad, her whole look and songs are really chilled. She describes her style as 'pretty casual' and 'soft grunge.' I think that's a perfect way to describe her laid-back style. In these photo's she really rocks boyfriend denim, I love the dungarees and am actually tempted to get some myself! I also think her blonde hair, red lipstick and winged eyeliner is such a bold and daring look but she totally rocks it.
Her music is similar to her style, chilled and relaxing . She lyrics are all very cleverly written and remind me of Taylor Swift's earlier songs. Go and check her out on Youtube Here and Here. So yeah, basically I really love her music and want all her clothes!

Canals and Dotty Skirts

Wearing: Top and Skirt - Primark. Jacket - New Look. Shoes - Schuh
Every outfit post I do I try to vary the background to fit in with the mood of the clothes so today I decided to venture down the road to the lock at the canal. This dotty skirt stands out from the green and browns of the background. I'm loving turtle neck's at the moment and the beading on this is beautiful. I was just wandering through Primark and it literally just jumped out at me, I mean I couldn't not buy it for £6, could I?
My life at the moment is just revising and watching my new favourite programme, Nashville. I just love it, the whole plot is different and unlike any other programme's and the characters interesting. The music is also lovely, I've been listening to the soundtrack on repeat! I also just watched the finale of The Carrie Diaries; no spoilers here but it was another brilliant episode. I adore the styling on this show done by Eric Daman, Teen Vogue did an interesting interview with him recently here.  Annasophia Robb looks her absolutely gorgeous and whimsical in her prom dress, it makes me wish I had a prom to go to this year but I'm going to have to deal with the two year wait.

On Sunday I had a great surprise of being featured in this spring hairstyle slideshow done by Teen Vogue!
Don't you just love this?

Look

Thought I would do just a quick post talking about the website for the magazine Look. I recently have found out about the Street Style section where you can upload your street style pictures which are then moderated and put onto the site. It's a good way to see a compacted outfit history and increase knowledge about Stylestorey. This is an excellent way to browse other people's street style pictures and pick up inspiration for outfits.  This is the link for my page. I have been a bit slow on the outfit posts this week as I feel a lack of exciting clothes. But alas hopefully some inspiration will come to me and the outfit posts will be rolling out.
The voting for Company's style blogger awards close on Wednesday so I would love it if you could vote for in the 'Best Teen Fashion Blog' - Here

Easter Elegance

Wearing: Shorts - New Look. Shirt - New Look. Blazer - H&M. Shoes - Schuh.
Happy Easter! I Hope you all had a lovely day. I certainly did as it was my Dad's birthday as well so it was a double celebration with a roast and a ton of chocolate. I love the pastel colour of this blazer, it just is so prim and perfect. To contrast with the light happy colour I decided to go with my trusty Black High-Waisted shorts that I just can't seem to get enough of. As this outfit has quite an elegant feel to it I decided to match it with my wedged trainers to give it more of a relaxed style.
I have just entered my 3 month revision and exam period, so hopefully I will be able to blog more in the Easter holidays as it can been seen as a break. I am also hoping to do another video. However I'm trying to decide between a room tour, spring favourite's or daily make-up, What do you think?

Would love it if you could vote for me under the 'Best Teen Fashion Blog' category in the Company Style Blogger Awards - Here
