Got that red lip classic thing that you like

Dress - Missguided. Coat and Boots - New Look. Scarf - Zara.
My recent obsession with roll necks is a bit out of control, the last three days I've worn them and I'm planning on wearing another one today! I remember when I was little my mum quite often wore them and when ever I would I didn't like them, I felt like they were choking me but fast forward ten years and I can't get enough. However they do still remind me of my mum, I think I look really similar to her with this style, especially with my short blonde hair!
This is becoming my go-to outfit for any slightly more dressy occasion as it is so simple and comfy to wear but paired with my heeled boots from new look and my new coat, it works quite well to fit the 'smart-casual' look. I'm planning on wearing it tonight as I'm going to the West End to see The Scottsboro Boys with my friend Vicky and I cannot contain my excitement, I'm a sucker for a good musical!
My life the past couple of days has been recuperating from the past hectic term at school by watching a fair-share of The Vampire Diaries as well as rushing around the shopping centre looking for Christmas gifts - 8 days now!

Morning Haze

Yay yay yay, an outfit post! I had a mufti day at school on Friday, hence the very very poor light of the photo's as I had to take it so early, the sun hadn't fully risen yet. But I think it actually gives the photo's quite a nice effect, a sort of soft romantic teenager angst type effect, I'm not sure, maybe I've just done too much A Level photography and am analysing photo's too much! This is why I cannot wait until next year when I go to uni when I can wear my own clothes everyday and don't have to wait for a mufti day to take outfit photos!
This is quite a special post for me as I am featuring my first item that a company has very kindly sent to me to put on my blog. I got an email from Sarah from Tales From the Earth jewellery company a few weeks ago asking if I would be interested and after searching through their website, I jumped at the chance. They centre around small things meaning a big deal, they're handcrafted silver jewellery is beautifully quaint. My bracelet has an inscirption saying 'A life filled with adventure' which I think is just the cutest little phrase, having this little message on your wrist is just an inspiring and cute thing to have. I rarely wear silver and rarely shy away from my standard gold watch and ring but it was nice wearing something different for the day. Tales from the Earth will definitely be a company I will keep in mind when thinking about Christmas or birthdays from now on!

Road Between

Skirt - River Island. Top and Shoes - H&M.
Just a super quick post before I go and watch dance moms and probably fall asleep on the sofa. I am so tired after a busy weekend which included of dancing, driving, a perfect summer barbeque with friends then more dancing. I wore this outfit to work on Friday - my flatforms from H&M finally came - and I still don't really know how I feel about the outfit though. Wearing a maxi was super comfy but then seeing it in this photo, I'm just not I can pull off a maxi skirt!
I finally got my disposable camera photo's developed the other day and this is a shot of my beautiful garden in the rare english sun. I'm going to see the musical Once tomorrow with my mum after work tomorrow which I am really excited for, there is nothing much better than a West End show!

High Hopes

Wearing: Jumper - Misguided. Jeans - Forever 21. Shoes - Office.
And, I'm back. Well, for the moment! Sorry I've been MIA from the blog for a while, I feel like I have been drowning under school work and preparations for dance exams. I know I shouldn't complain but I'm just going to do it to explain what I've been doing with my life; school is getting very on top of me, everyday they remind us that we don't have many weeks left before exams, especially for photography - the work seems never-ending! Plus I've got some major dance exams coming up - I've got my Ballet this week (ahhhh) and then Modern and Tap at the beginning of May. So if I do get any spare time between school and dancing, I sleep!
Also, some extremely exciting news, I have become Editor-in-Chief of my school magazine Ink!

I feel like I haven't done an outfit post in forever. Which kind of upsets me as although I'm trying to showcase my writing and shiz I don't want to lose my original focus. I ordered this blue jumper from Misguided two weeks ago in preparation for mufti day and was lucky to be able to snap these pictures before leaving for school (hence why the lighting is a little odd - It was pretty early in the morning.) I really like the tapered baggy effect it has, the blue pastel colour is perfect for a little transition into spring.
I am falling asleep at the keyboard as I type this and it's only early evening so I better stop rambling buuut - I've had a few little confidence boosts over the past couple of weeks; my position at editor, a girl at school telling me how much she admired my blog and hitting over 150 followers! So although I haven't been blogging that regularly I would just like to say how much I love my little corner of the Internet and hope that it can continue to grow with me like it has over the past years!
Also - I'm going to Russia on a school trip at the end of week! Hoping to squeeze in another post but be aware, I could be even more MIA from the internet world soon depending on Wifi etc!

Now reading - I've finally finished Emma and actually really enjoyed it. I've now moved onto The Book Thief in the hope of reading it then watching the film, at the moment it seems really interesting and the narrative being death is different but very exciting!

Wishlist - Winter into Spring

Untitled #16

I haven't done a 'wishlist' type post in ages! I always seem to end up doing them just before the seasons chang. I think I might be getting my hopes up but we have actually seen the sun a bit the last few days and not rain, Maybe we might actually get a spring!
I always seem to go back to the similar colour scheme - Black and white with the occasional burgundy! It just is my comfort zone and can be worn all the time. Here I have shown a few skorts, I really want to widen my collection of skorts and pencil type skirts. There just perfect to wear with this Topshop baggy crop top or the lace smock top. I just love a day dress! This floral one from H&M and this monochrome jumpsuit would be ideal for spring. To either throw on a jumper or jacket and tights then progress into summer with bare legs. I have wanted these denim shorts from American Apparel for ages and I am determined to get them before summer! I just need to find the money...!
Anyway, I go back to school today after half term and cannot face getting stuck back in reality. This week off has actually felt like ages, and then this next half term seems jam packed with everything!

Like an old song on the radio, That you grew up to and everybody knows

Wearing: Top,  jeans, shirt - Forever 21. Socks and Scarf - M&S. Boots - Office.
I'm wearing jeans for the very first time (I think) on my blog. I'm just not that big fan of them. I don't find them too comfortable and I don't really like how the look on my legs but I found these black gems in forever 21 for £12 so thought, why not break out of my habit? I also got this shirt, my love affair with tartan is continuing and I think it will be continuing for a while, I've wanted a shirt for a while but wanted one that would go with most of my clothes - a black and white one - and this jumped out at me as perfect from forever 21.
I'm having a bit of an obsession with online shopping at the moment , even though I didn't need to buy this skort and this T-shirt from Asos the 20% off for my birthday ( turning 17 on Saturday!) just tempted me a little too much! I go back to school tomorrow which does seem a lot of effort but after continuous watching of Gossip girl the last couple of days it will probably do me good to get out of the house!
Once again, Can I be Blair Waldorf please?

Merry Christmas's Eve's Eve!

Wearing: Top - Urban Outfitters. Leggings - H&M. Cardigan - Republic. Bag and Necklace - New Look. Shoes - Office.
During the New Year I think I might make having spontaneous outfit shoots with my phone withan everyday outfits a regular thing. So if I was going out shopping or the cinema on the weekend I can take a few quick snaps. This will also mean I can have an experiment with some different photography apps. This was done on 'Afterlight' which is possibly my favourite app. It just has such a lvoely range of different effects - my most used one at the moment is 'wicker.' This outfit was a simple slightly whimsical choice. This top is one of my recent favourites, it was a bargain £8 from Urban Outfitters! Then my trusty Doc Martins that are still my pride and joy despite the blisters they've caused!
P.S. Merry Christmas Eve's Eve!

Wedding + Update

So just over a week ago I had the privilege to attend my very first wedding! My beautiful cousin Eleanor was getting married to Tom, it was such a unforgettable day.
1 - This photo was taken after the church service which I couldn't stop beaming in. My sister Madeleine was a bridesmaid so it was extra special seeing Eleanor and Madeleine both walk down the aisle gracefully. I was sat with the rest of my cousins and we all were mesmerised by the service. I'm not going to lie in saying they picked great hymns as well - 'Morning has broken' and 'Be thou my vision' although I couldn't compare to my little cousin William who sang his heart out during the signing of the register I did enjoy singing the hymns!
2 - A picture of the wedding car. 'Just Married.' It was so exciting seeing them come out of the church and throw confetti then wave them off in the car
3- The decorations at the receptions were set out so lovely, the flowers all complemented each other and the tables were so pretty. I especially loved the 'Mr & Mrs' decorations on the main table.  It was just such amazing day!

I have now gone back to school but, to sixth form! It's so odd! I have to wear a suit which I'm pretty sure just makes me look like a child attempting to be an adult but oh well! I must say it is nice not having any lessons to go to which you dread. But starting sixth form and going back to dance does probably mean that my blog will take a bit of a hit. I also have lots of video's that need to be edited but I just haven't got round to it. However I will sill try to post as much as I can of course but just to warn you!
Also, How excited are you for October Teen Vogue? I'm super (duper) excited as it has Hailee Steinfeld on the front and as you know I'm obsessed with her and its the young Hollywood issue which every year its my favourite!
Oooooo I feel like I have just rambled and rambled on but one more thing - I reached 500 followers on my twitter the other day and would just like to say thank you! It really pleased me and made me feel proud!

Spanish Sun

Wearing: Top - New Look. Skirt - Miss Selfridge. Shoes - New Look. Sunglasses - Primark.
So today was the day, Results day! I haven't been that nervous throughout the summer but I think in the last two weeks it hit me but yesterday I was extremely nervous. Overall I got slightly better that I thought I would with grades ranging from A*'s to C's. I just can't really believe their over and I can now say I've got 10 (And a half) GCSE's! Sixth form is starting to feel a bit more real as of today I have got my suit. Yes, suit! We have to wear a navy suit! I must say that I am very jealous of my friends from dancing who get to wear their own clothes to school but oh well. We are now actually allowed to wear  jewellery, nail varnish and have our hair down so I'm very excited to experiment different styles etc.
I wore this outfit on the first meal out we went to in Spain and its two of my favourite summer floaty pieces, they both make me feel so girly. Throughout the summer my style has been rather girly but I have a feeling when we go into the Autumn ( keep on wanting to say Fall - I watch to many American youtubers!) its going to get more grungy and dark but I'm excited, I always love a slight change in style as season change. As I said I'm off to Cornwall on Saturday so I will schedule some posts - mostly Spain ones - but I'm hoping we will be able to find some wi-fi somewhere!
Well Done to anyone who got any results (GCSE's, AS or Alevel's) recently!

Simple

Wearing: Top - Topshop, Skirt - Forever 21, Shoes - Accessorize.
This is another outfit I wore to one of the locals restaurants in Spain. I really love this topshop crop top, although I do find it very short with a skater skirt its fits quite nicely however I don't think I would wear it with anything else because it is so short! It felt like such a simple yet effective outfit which I was pleased with. Hopefully when you read this I am surfing the waves in sunny cornwall...I wonder how many things of that sentence will come true. Christina, 'Surfing'? That won't happen and 'Sunny' that's not likely in england but I'm sure I'm having a wail of a time!
(Also sorry with the shadow in these photo's - The sun  was so strong!)

Typically British

Wearing: Top - Forever 21. Shoes - Accessorize. Bandeau - New Look. Shorts - DIY.

Today I felt typically British. I spent a day watching my Brother's cricket match with the 'local team.' Normally my sister and I go to the cricket when its sunny to sunbathe to support my brother, have a coke, have a walk round the boundary and go home all within half an hour. But today my mum was doing the tea so  naturally we were roped in as well. This morning the kitchen looked like a bombsite with bread and various sandwich fillings everywhere but a couple hours later the tea was packed and went down well with the players. To be honest, I don't know why I'm talking about cricket in a blog post as it is a common (boring) subject at the dinner table so lets talk about my outfit! On Tuesday I was in a 'DIY mood' so I cut up old jeans, sewed some lace on and made some rips and came out with (although I say it myself) cute and girly shorts which I am very excited to wear in Spain...! I leave a week on Monday and am very very excited!
